Apalachicola Times RSS Feeds
What is it?
The Apalachicola Times has now made it possible for you to
receive the latest news the second that it
hits the Web! Through the use of RSS Feeds, The Apalachicola Times
delivers new content straight to your computer. RSS
is a standard XML format for delivering content that
changes on a regular basis. Content is delivered in
small chunks, generally a synopsis, preview, or headline.
You can use these feeds to receive the news you want
and have it delivered right to your computer as it
happens!
How do I use it?
There are a number of applications collectively called
RSS newsreaders designed to read, manage and display
content from RSS feeds. Some of these are standalone
applications, others run in your Web browser. The
orange XML icon listed at the bottom of our site contains
a link to an RSS news feed. In most browsers you
can simply
right-click on the icon, copy the link, and then
paste it into a configuration screen in your RSS
newsreader.
Here is a listing of some popular RSS newsreaders which you can use to read RSS news feeds:
NetNewsWire (MacOS X)
FeedDemon (Windows )
Pluck (Windows)
NewsGator (Windows)
Google Desktop (Windows)
Mozilla Firefox Web
Browser (Windows and MacOS X)
